Documentary on Hans Rosling available on-line (now full version)The TV documentary Rosling’s World is now posted on the website of the Swedish Public Service Television (SVT) website, with English subtitles. The documentary, by the journalist Pär Fjällström, follows Hans Rosling preparing his lecture at the 2009 TED conference. The one hour documentary, which has aired several times on Swedish television will be available at svt.se for 30 days (until September 17).

Alf, I am very thankful you posted this. Just watched the truely captivating documentary. I have to admit that I didn’t fully approve of the sword swallowing in his TED presentations before as it felt gimmicky and too much showing off to me.
But now that I know the whole story and his background in being a doctor in Africa, the appreciation can only grow. I’ve already e-mailed svt.se as I’d like to buy this as a DVD or paid download because this will definitely find a larger audience beyond Sept 17th.
It is rare that a TV station makes this stuff freely available outside their home country, which is also remarkable in its own right.
