A first overview made by the Guardian shows a big interest for local information:
‘Again and again, what people are asking for is better internet access to things going on around them – schools, nurseries, parks, planning applications, jobs, air quality, the local recycling centre (with webcams!), council tax band calculation, the green-ness of your street; and on and on.
It’s unsurprising, of course; we all live locally, not nationally, and so it’s local things we want to know about. But that is clearly where local councils aren’t doing it right.’
