Statistics are not top clients of visualizations via animated gifs. But there are discussions to test these to avoid problems in displaying Flash or SVG.

It is the end of 2012 and there are no more problems displaying SVG, nevertheless I really like the pictures above.
Oh, and btw that newspaper man cinemagraph is more than half a megabyte in size.
